There are “several reasons” why he opted for this seed combination. One of the reasons is the TerraGrip tine the Focus TD is equipped with. “It loosens the soil in a targeted way” and creates a “StripTill” effect.
Another advantage for his farm: “Due to the large fertiliser hopper we can carry out sowing and fertiliser application in one pass.” In this context, he mentions another advantage: Fertiliser can either be applied at the tine deep in the soil as well as close to the grain by the seed drill.
With regard to the Maestro RV he points out the optimum embedding and consolidation. He attaches major importance to this fact as thus as much water as possible can be kept in the soil. “The Maestro meets all these criteria” and “consolidation is excellent”.
