The farm went for the combination of HORSCH Focus and HORSCH Maestro RV for several – mainly economic – reasons: „Tillage, fertiliser placement and sowing can be carried out in one pass. Thus, we can save time, labour, and fuel.“
Another essential aspect is the option to apply fertiliser in two different ways: One part is placed by the Focus tines at a depth of 20 cm, the remainder is sown with the Maestro together with the seed.
According to Arkadiusz other advantages are that passes are reduced, compaction after tillage is prevented and water is saved. „The soil does not dry up“ and the Focus takes the humidity from the depth to the top. The seed then is placed in wet soil.
