Job Description: Parts Specialist

Position Available: ASAP

Reports to: Director of After Sales

Location: Saskatoon

Job Objective:

We are currently looking for a parts specialistwith agricultural experience. The candidate is responsible for supporting dealers, managing inventories, and communicating with our factories in the USA and Germany. The candidate will handle technical and pricing requests, as well as support dealers with their inventory management. Sourcing, ordering, logistics and administration of the parts business will also be a large portion of the responsibilities. An understanding of the agricultural service supply chain and logistics operations is imperative. The balance of working independently, with limited supervision and contributing to a fast-growing team is a must. The position requires someone who is highly organized and proactive. This position requires a forklift certification.

Successful accomplishment of the HORSCH Parts Specialist includes the ability to:

  • Support HORSCH’s dealer network by answering technical questions by phone and Email.
  • Process parts orders, returns and parts warranty claims in SAP and emit invoices and credit notes to the dealers.
  • Coordinate the ordering, storage, movement, shipment, and customs clearance of agricultural spare parts in a manner consistent with established operational procedures and functions.
  • Work closely with dealers to ensure parts are ordered and delivered prior to busy season by reviewing historical use data, trends, prepare forecast data, evaluate forecast results to increase accuracy.
  • Confirm availability of parts for the dealer network by tracking, pricing & determining ETA.
  • Work closely with our factory’s purchasing colleagues to source and ensure demands and orders are filled and met.
  • Work closely with the teams in the USA and Europe to ensure worldwide parts availability and fast delivery.
  • Monitor performance and forecasting to prevent excess/obsolete materials and proper rollover.
  • Monitoring freight rates, lead times & delivery options with brokers to maximize logistical efficiency.

RequirED SKILLS:

  • Experience in agricultural spare parts is required.
  • Higher education is a plus.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent Communicator both oral and written via all channels (Email, Messaging, phone, in person)
  • Experience in setting logistical agendas and follow-ups.
  • Possesses strong technical skills, sorting and filtering information.
  • Experience with working with field personnel or customers to resolve delivery problems and part quality issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent analytical skills required.
  • SAP (our warehouse management system) experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Ability to safely use warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks etc.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Must have forklift certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
