The HORSCH SingularSystem is the technology for cereal singulation and precision sowing. With a similar design as the well-proven TurboDisc coulter it is additonally equipped with an integrated skid and height adjustable catching roller. The skid forms the seed furrow and guarantees an precise placement of the see. The catching roller guarantees a defined seed placement and an excellent seed-soil contact. To guarantee a smooth and exact mechanical singulation of the grains, even and clean seed is required.
In conditions with higher seed rates or seed that cannot be singulated, e.g. coarse legumes, the SingularSystem coulter can be equipped with the delivered Bypass or, for extremely high application rates, with a stainless steel fall tube. It then can be used as a ”normal” seed drill without singulation. With these two versions you achieve a preciser embedding of the seed due to the skid and the catching roller at the coulter.
With our Pronto 6 DC with double hopper two components can be applied in two horizons by means of the SingularSystem seed coulter with DoubleShot . With the Funck metering device or a stainless steel fall tube the seed is placed and via our DoubleShot system for example fertiliser is applied below it. Thus, fertiliser is applied efficiently and without any losses below the seed. This is particularly advantageous for the early development of many crops. Another asset of the DoubleShot system is that in dry conditions there is no direct contact between fertiliser and seed. Thus burns on the seedlings are prevented.
