Location: Mapleton, North Dakota
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Product Marketing Specialist to join our Support team in Mapleton, North Dakota. You will be instrumental in the development and marketing of new tillage technologies, ensuring the successful evaluation and benchmarking of our products. The individual in this role will conduct market research to understand the needs of the North American customer and determine how Horsch products and services can satisfy our customers’ needs. You will also play a key role in training our sales team, conducting product demonstrations, and expanding into new markets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct benchmarking activities to evaluate our products against industry standards.
- Responsible for training sales teams and dealers on tillage products and providing them with necessary sales information, including up-to-date machine presentations.
- Actively participate in identifying and exploring new markets for our tillage technologies.
- Conduct demonstrations and showcase our machines in specific regions of the country, highlighting their features and benefits to potential customers.
- Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
- Play an active role in becoming an influential brand and voice in the industry
- Involvement with administrative tasks, event planning and sales coordination
- Provide product marketing support for Marketing Communications
- Conduct market research and voice of customer research to understand how Horsch products can satisfy the needs of customers
- Assist in the development, management, and execution of an annual marketing plan for the Horsch in the United States
- Other duties may be assigned
Position Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Agricultural Engineering or related discipline
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Computer skills - including the ability to use communication and organization software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email on laptop and smart phone
- Self-starter with the ability to work individually and a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, seasonal demand
- Experience in utilizing a tractor with implements is a plus
- Experience in farming practices, agronomy, and/or agricultural equipment is a plus
Physical demands / Work environment:
- Individuals may need to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods.
- The position may require reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting techniques are required.
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields.
