James Pryce Tractors joins Horsch dealer network

As Horsch’s dealer network continues to expand, James Pryce Tractors is the latest dealer to be appointed and will provide Horsch’s range of drills and cultivators to farmers and contractors in Devon and Somerset. Andy Pryce, managing director at James Pryce Tractors, believes the brand is a natural fit with their other premium machinery brands. “Horsch has a reputation for quality. We are confident its products will sell well to customers looking for no-nonsense low-maintenance machines that offer great performance.”

James Pryce Tractors is holding an open day at its Tiverton branch on 26th April to showcase the drills and cultivators, which add a new line of business to the dealer’s two depots at Tiverton and South Molton in Devon. “We have a highly experienced team across the two branches. James Pryce Tractors has nearly 40 years’ experience providing agricultural machinery to farmers in the South West, so we have a clear understanding of their requirements and the kit required to get the job done properly,” adds Andy.

Andy highlights the Joker cultivator and Express KR drill as two key products. The Joker cultivator family offers a wide range of models with 3m to 12m working widths. The 3m Joker CT with the Mono TG bar is an entry-level three-point linkage mounted model. The short disc cultivator in tine, disc and roller configuration can be used with tractors in the 150hp to 200hp range. The high disc speed is ideal for fast stubble cultivation, stale seed bed preparation and incorporation of residues.

The 6 or 8m Joker RT features a hydraulically operated levelling board that enables stubble and ploughed land to be cultivated with the same machine. The board comprises a row levelling paddles at the leading edge of the RT’s frame that can be lowered to work directly onto ploughed land then raised to cultivate stubble, adding great flexibility to the machine.

The Express KR is Horsch’s first pneumatic three-point seed drill with an active tillage tool: the integrated rotary harrow Kredo. The machine now is available in 3m, 3.5m and 4m (rigid) working widths and, even under difficult conditions and stony soils, its strong design allows for an intensive seedbed preparation. The rotary harrow features quick-change tines and the fine adjustment of the working depth is clearly visible and easily accessible from the outside.
