A good foundation for even emergence is laid at sowing. The Pronto DC combines seedbed preparation, consolidation and precise seed placement with the efficiency required when the seeding window is of the essence.
In this Walkaround, we take a detailed look at the Pronto DC line from 3 to 9 m – from DiscSystem, packer and seed coulters to hopper concepts and equipment. We also highlight features like AutoForce and RowControl that assist the driver while sowing. We show how the individual components and functions interact and what matters most while working in the field. Start your crop with confidence!
When sowing, it is the interaction of all factors that count. The soil has to be prepared, consolidated, and the seed has to be placed evenly at the desired depth. This is exactly what the Pronto principle has been designed for. DiscSystem, tyre packer and seed coulters work directly behind each other and create an even seeding horizon. At the same time, the concept allows for high operational speeds and, thus, for the required efficiency to consequently make the most of limited sowing windows.

Seedbed preparation, consolidation and seeding in a single pass: this is what the Pronto principle stands for. The Pronto DC combines high efficiency with precise seed placement, creating ideal conditions for uniform emergence. It delivers consistent results even with changing soil conditions and at high operational speeds – a proven concept that has been continuously developed.
Rémi Bohy runs a mixed farm in the Allier region in France and uses the Pronto 7 DC together with his brother. He sows up to 1,000 ha per year – from cereals and catch crops to rapeseed and grass. In the video, he explains the requirements their soils places on seeding, how their Pronto is equipped to meet these requirements and why the working width of 7.20 in particular is perfectly in line with their farming concept. In the 36 m tramline, five passes are sufficient – an important advantage in daily use.
10 to 20 km/h for a high work rate in limited sowing windows
Low horsepower requirement for efficient operation and high daily work rates
Flexibly configurable – from hopper concept and automation to RowControl
Easy adjustments and straightforward operation in day-to-day use
Well-proven metering system for different seeds and metering quantities
Individual coulter control for an even placement depth
As a design engineer, Alexander Haselhoff has been working at the Pronto for more than 20 years. New solutions are not only developed on the computer. Experience gained in the field, the direct dialogue with farmers and feedback from the sales and service teams are continuously included in the development process. He explains how this leads to new solutions for the Pronto.
Florian Eisenhardt
about the Pronto 3 DC
„We grow 10 to 12 different threshing crops. We use the Pronto to sow everything except for maize. This is what we particularly like about this universal seed drill.“
Jürgen Harnisch
about the Pronto 9 DC
„We are happy with the seed placement and the placement depth. We also like the spacing within the row and the emergence – as long as the weather plays along.“
Patrick Koch
about the Pronto 6 DC
„We opted for the Pronto because it copes well with these varying soil conditions ... Another advantage of the Pronto is the seed monitoring system and that we constantly see that the seed really arrives in every row.“
Calibrating via smartphone, analysing machine data or selecting the appropriate rotor: digital solutions provide support for different tasks related to seeding. With HorschConnect selected functions can be operated directly at the machine via smartphone, while HorschConnect Telematics provides machine and operational data for documentation and analysis. Rotor selection additionally helps to find the appropriate rotor for seed and metering rate.
