HORSCH hopper systems

The MiniDrill G & F and the MiniDrill PPF are now available as an additional second or third hopper for the Pronto

With regard to the equipment of the MiniDrill HORSCH offers two different versions. The MiniDrill G & F version serves as a third hopper for seed. When sowing rape, the efficiency of the machine can almost be doubled. The MiniDrill with a capacity of 400 litres, filled with rape seed, allows for filling the other hoppers with mineral fertiliser. Thus, you can quite simply reduce filling stops and gain valuable time for sowing.
The second option is the MiniDrill PPF version. In this case, the MiniDrill is used to take micro-granular compound, underseed or slug pellets along. This other component is applied via the baffles to the surface of the field. This version of the MiniDrill is equipped with an own fan, an own pneumatic system with a separate distributor tower and a baffle in front of each seed coulter.
The option to place three different components in three different seed horizons makes the Pronto with double hopper PPF the perfect catch crop seed drill.
Field beans for example can be placed deeply via the discs, the seed coulters can sow vetches on a normal seed horizon and grass or clover can be applied via the baffles.
The placement of catch crops in the optimum seed horizon, the application of micro-granular compound or slug pellets as well as the option to sow underseeds point out how variedly the MiniDrill PPF can be used with the Pronto DC.

Grain & Fertiliser

The G & F system allows for simultaneously applying seed and fertiliser as a contact fertilisation. Both metering devices meter into a common distribution tower. Thus, seed and fertiliser are placed together in one furrow. The fertiliser is directly available to the plant, thus contributing to a fast early growth. This system should only be used in the appropriate climatic conditions and upon consultation of a plant production expert.

PPF system – economic and precise placement of fertiliser

The PPF system allows for a simultaneous application of seed and fertiliser. Via separate fertiliser coulters the fertiliser is placed only a few centimetres below the seed furrow in wet soil. By placing seed and fertiliser separately, large quantities can be applied in dry conditions. The fertiliser depot can be used by the crop in an optimum way and stimulates the roots to grow downwards.
