The HORSCH Versa SW combines seedbed preparation and seeding in a sophisticated combination. Especially in difficult conditions - whether heavy soils or wet weather - the machine shows its strengths and ensures even seedbed preparation and precise seed placement. But what's behind it? A look at the key components of the Versa SW provides the answer.
The leading packer of the Versa SW has far more tasks than just road transport. The hydraulically pre-tensioned side packers distribute the machine weight evenly across the entire working width. This prevents deep tracks which can be particularly problematic in wet soils. Wide 19.0/45-17 tyres ensure a high load-carrying capacity, reduce the soil pressure and thus create an ideal basis for the following power harrow.
The Kredo power harrow prepares the soil intensively and creates a fine crumbly structure - essential for even seed placement. With ten rotors per 3 m working width, it ensures an even mixing of the soil and a high level of fine soil production. A robust gearbox and a solid drive train ensure stability and a long service life - even in stony or heavy soils.
The easy adaptation to different conditions is an enormous asset. Due to the tool-free quick-change system, the tines can be exchanged flexibly - whether standard tines, carbide tines or variants for particularly aggressive cultivation. The working depth and the levelling bar can also be adjusted easily to precisely adapt the tillage intensity to the site.
Behind the power harrow, the following packer carries out a targeted consolidation in front of the seed coulters. There are two options depending on the soil conditions:
Tooth packer roller (64 cm diameter) - the universal solution for different soil types. It offers a high load-carrying capacity and leaves a fine crumbly soil structure behind.
The final step is the precise placement of the seed - and this is where the TurboDisc seed coulters really prove their strength. They ensure maximum precision even at high operational speeds. With a coulter pressure of up to 125 kg, they adapt perfectly to the soil conditions and ensure an even seed furrow.
To optimise seed-soil contact, you can choose between two press wheels: 5 cm wide for medium to heavy soils or 7.5 cm wide for light soils. The integrated uniformer fixes the seed.
The HORSCH Versa SW combines state-of-the-art technology with well-proven components and provides excellent results in a wide range of conditions. From the leading tyre packer to the power harrow to the TurboDisc seed coulters - every component has been designed to optimally prepare the seedbed and place the seed precisely. Due to the flexible customisation options, the machine can be perfectly adapted to individual site conditions.
