A lucky coincidence

"I feel a little bit like home here… HORSCH virtually is like my baby.“

What does our French colleague Corinne mean by this? You will learn later how a coincidence led to a 23-year career at HORSCH…

…but let’s start at the beginning!

Corinne, born in Metz in1963 and daughter of a farmer, already got in contact with the HORSCH company at a very early stage. Without her knowing it.

Together with her parents, she spent her childhood at La Lucine where her father managed the farm of the Dorsemagen family. Corinne made friends with the children of the Dorsemagen family: Cornelia, Barbara and Robert.

As a young adult she decided to live in Paris to gather professional experiences as a purchasing manager in a company for safety equipment and turned her back on her roots… but not forever!

After the separation from her husband in 1999, Corinne decided to move from Paris to Chaumont together with her 6 year old daughter Léa. After a few months of settling in, she discovered a job advertisement for a position in sales administration at the HORSCH company based in La Lucine – what a coincidence!

At that time, Cornelia who in the meantime had married the German Michael Horsch, took over the management of the French branch to realise new ideas and to develop the market on site.

Corinne immediately picked up the phone and called her childhood friend Cornelia. After a job interview, Corinne received the good news – she got the job!

Already on 1st March 2000 Corinne continued her professional career at HORSCH France. Within the scope of the at that time new information systems she had to attend a two-week training in Germany – unfortunately without her daughter Léa. By learning day and night and with an enormous commitment, Corinne finished her training already after one week and received an excellent training certificate for an outstanding performance. Thus, she was able to return to France earlier than planned.

But there still is the question why Corinne considers HORSCH as „her baby“…

…quite simply!

Corinne’s childhood memories are not only closely connected to the family. She also was a part of HORSCH France right from the beginning – with a small team and Cornelia being the head of it. She experienced the development of the company firsthand. In addition, she has been working for the company as a commercial secretary for 23 years and she is an expert in the most different sectors. 

A „wonderful game“

Moreover, she puts her heart and soul into work. But there still is a place in her heart for something else…

…and that’s golfing!

Corinne can no longer imagine her life without this sport. Whether as an individual or as a team sport – she always joins in. An excellent balance for the sometimes stressful everyday working life.

Corinne is a passionate diver, likes hiking and does not say no to a biking trip.

Corinne + golfing = HORSCH?

Corinne shows: work and fun do not have to be separate things. With HORSCH you have two in one!

For her, team spirit is important when golfing but also at work, and so is the contact with the colleagues. Corinne particularly likes that everyone in the company can develop at his/her best and thus actively contributes to the dynamics of the company.

And it was also possible for Corinne to integrate her passion for golfing into work – in a company seminar in 2016. It was a lot of fun!
