#HORSCHtogether
In the Upper Austrian Innviertel region, Harald Schauer and Wolfgang Kammerer run two arable farms with a high share of grain maize in the crop rotation. To work more effectively and efficiently, they have been sharing machines for some years. For a long time, the plough has been indispensable to incorporate the large quantities of maize residus reliably. But a political decision that significantly limits the share of fallow land over the winter, required a rethinking of their approach. Their local sales partner, the Wölfleder company, introduced them to HORSCH and they tested possible alternatives.
The solution: the Tiger SL. The compact design of the 3-point cultivator ensures manoeuvrability even on small-structured fields and allows for a loosening at plough depth as well as for an intensive incorporation of harvest residues. "Our experience with the Tiger is very good. We were pleasantly surprised how well it works and how optimally it prepares the soil - whether for seeding or the winter furrow“, the two farmers agree.
